and will continue to develop this new technique for data collection.
Due to the current penetration rates of the Internet in Japan, there are still some problems with the representativeness of a sample collected via Internet technology.
Nevertheless, as Japan's penetration rate continues to increase, the Internet will be a viable method of collecting representative data of Japan's population.

Adams saw the opportunities that the internet offered for market research at an early stage and purchased the most advanced software available for web surveys. The software is called ScyWeb.

ScyWeb
  1. is compatible with CATI(Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing) software.

  2. allows the same script for a web survey to be used for a telephone survey

  3. supports i-mode(mobile electronic appliance) based surveys
Currently, Adams Communications conducts web surveys by pre-recruiting respondents by phone or with respondents who have agreed to be part of our panel. We will continue to grow this panel and intend to pass the benefits of cost reduction and speed of response on to our clients.
